Warm Greetings everyone.

A couple of friends and myself are starting a new hobby creating our own comic series , just for fun. I'm using a story I wrote in my earlier years. In this story there's a character Rebeca that moves into the neighborhood of the main character. Rebeca suffers from schizophrenia and hears voices mainly a guy called Lence. The main character Kathy astral travels to another realm and appears as a Grey Wolf animal guide to Lence. Anyway Kathy tells Rebeca that she's not schizophrenic but has strong psychic abilities and she will help her control and master them. This brings up an interesting topic!

Are schizophrenic suffers actually psychic but because the medical field don't believe in the existences of such phenomenon classes these people as sick giving them medication that numbs the psychic senses claiming that it helps?

I'm no expert and I'm doing some research on the scientific and medical viewpoints but I believe that about 50% of the time people are psychic and not schizophrenic but they don't know how to control it.

I'm curious to hear your opinions!

In my work I find that most schizophrenics and or bi-polar exibit no more psychic abilities than the general population. I also find that the majority of my cases actually involve very heavy entity possession and influence and there comes a point where they can no longer be helped. This holds true for second and third generations of mental illness as well and many times the same entities are attached to the offspring. My personal experience.

My experience of this is that psychics and schizophrenics are the one and the same. The difference seems to be that schizophrenics have no clue how to handle what they perceive, and fear sets in. This seems to happen due to looking for objective evidence of subjective experiences. Just my 2p Smile
