If I'm a Christian , should I stay away from meeting my guide? Some say you can encounter a evil/demonic spirit and that Christians should only pray and look out to God because guides still have selfish tendencies (as in they want to get out). |

That depends. From the perspective of many Christians, a lot of things are "sinful". Some of them even declare that sex is so, except for the purposes of procreation. If you've been brought up to believe things like this, then anything else will be inherently "wrong".
There are a plethora of other perspectives, my personal favorite is that all perspectives are valid, even the ones I don't like. God is All, the "good" and "bad", if it were not so, God would not be God as the concept is presented.
As for meeting your Guardian Angel/Spirit Guides etc, there is more chance that you'll get hit by a car crossing the road, than there is of meeting a demon or something. People will always get hit by cars just as people will always have bad things happen by opening doors to other realms of existence.
When any of us start letting fear dictate our behaviur ("I might get hit by a car, better stay indoors!"), little progress can occur.
To answer your question - there is no answer, just differing points of view.
Make of this what you will.
Have fun |

Yes, look up the term 'familiar spirits' in reference to the bible, particularly OT. Its that day's vernacular for guides which also over-arches mediumship. |
