My name is Chrissey and I'm a writer. I'm also a scientist, archaeologist and film maker. (Kind of a modern renaissance woman).
I'm a strong sceptic in many senses, but I am open minded. While I might not believe you, I can promise that I won't openly dismiss anyone's ideas or experiences.
I haven't had any personal contact with the supernatural but the subject interests me, particularly as I'm now working on a novel about demonic possession. I pride myself on writing well researched fiction.
There are some fascinating and informative topics here, from the small amount of browsing I've done and I wanted to express my thanks in advance for any help this community can give me in researching topics for my work.

Welcome to the forum, sceptics don't last too long here.
Just letting you know.
You are not open minded enough if you are a natural sceptic.
This isn't a place for you to deny what others have experienced,etc..
So with that said..hopefully you can be a part of this community.

For me it is important to be open minded and sceptical at the same time. For example, I am sceptical that society must continue certain patterns even though they been the norm for so long...
As for the supernatural, I have not witnessed demons or the like but it is my feeling that magic is everywhere, at work in union with the physical realm.
At any rate, I just joined recently, so welcome to both of us! |
