When imagining myself with, let's say a square of golden light in the center of my head, should I be seeing myself as a mirror image, or should I be in the moment? Thank you. |

Whichever "feels" right to you. You won't need to question it, you'll just know in the same way that you know you like your favorite food. |

Thanks! I've been trying to visualize for a while, but can't seem to get any results. I can remember when I was between the ages of 3 and 5 that I was able to "see things", such as when I can close my eyes and can see colors moving about in the black, maybe because I was that young and still "recent" from the other side. It was automatic. If only I could see that again.
I've also suffered a mild headbump or two. I'm not sure if that could be part of the problem. I sure appreciate this site. I'm open to any advice or suggestions. Thank you! |

I've found that it's good to keep in mind that visualizing doesn't necessarily need to be a visual process.
Strictly speaking, visualization and imagining are the same things, but different. Visualizing refers to bringing to mind something you already know. Imagining means creating a scene in your mind thhat you've not experienced yet. Visualizing would be past, imagining is the future.
And neither of these needs to be visual. If you go over a conversation you had with someone, you're probably going to use a lot of auditory stuff, maybe a bit of kinsethetic too.
If you pretend you're having a conversation in the future, you're engaging your imagination, which is commonly known as visualizing.
Avoid worrying that you need to 'see' just because it's called 'visualizing'.
