|
|
Hi, this is about TerriSchiavo's fight for life, I just visited the site www.terrisfight.org and saw this:
<<March 17, 2005 – The Senate is now considering HR 1332, an act titled the Incpacitated Persons Legal Protection Act. This act could save the life of Terri and many disabled people. Please tell your senator and others you want their support.
http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm>>
I hope all US residents can get involved to raise the level of care for people disabled and unable to speak for themselves; I've been sending healing to her and the situation for a few days now, and I feel this is one situation we all need to get involved with, whilst we have the chance to make a difference!!
best wishes,
Jane |

| Personally i don't think the rest of the world should have any choice in the matter whether or not this girl's feeding tube is removed. This should remain an issue amoungst the family. I know if i was pretty much a vegetable i really would NOT want to stay alive any longer then possible. I think she even asked to have the tube removed so there keeping her alive against her will... if you can call being bedridden alive. We don't need anymore laws passed saying you can't do this and you can't do that. Politians wreck enough lives... I know my sister is a schizophrenic and because of laws that they've passed we can't do shit about her situation until it gets so extreme and its fustrating as all hell. (long story) But anyway sorry if i offended anyone but this is simply how i feel about the matter. |

Hi, if you look at any of the videos of her, she's obviously not 'just a vegetable' and anyway, her husband wants her to die so he can get his hands on her medical compensation payments - plus we wouldn't tolerate letting an animal die of thirst and starvation so why is it o.k for a disabled person to be killed in this way? If you look into the case, it's really pretty frightening what the judge is doing, and it affects us all, one way or another, when cruelty and injustice is supported by 'the law'.
I suggest you really find out what you're talking about and remember this is a person who can't talk for themselves, but her life matters not only to her (she's still alive, after all, and if someone wants to die, they can just give up!) but also to her parents and friends. Her husband has another family now and just wants her out of the way - as a Catholic, she couldn't agree to euthanasia, it's against her religion (and that's pretty serious stuff, what with the concept of eternal damnation!)
Just because someone can't communicate doesn't mean they don't feel emotions, and they certainly feel the physical pain of being starved to death!! Come on, that's not right, is it? Look at the videos of her and see she's aware of her mother and responds to her, and to music, and even tries to talk. The law is preventing her even being offered food and water by mouth!!! |

Remember the government was created for security and protection, out of fear these could be lost. It will eventually show that it was created to defend that which needs no protection.
In the meantime, pray for the highest outcome. |

creativejani,
I hardly think that after all this time the husband just wants to get his hands on money. Think how much pain this has caused him. I would never want to live like that and I have always prayed for God's will in situations like this because I have faced situations where it was either death or that state and I couldn't bear the thought of either. I didn't want to see any of my loved ones in that state but I didn't want them to suffer just so that I was left alone either.
The most any of us should do is pray for her and the family and pray for the greatest good.
Look at the pictures of the woman before, when I did I felt that this woman would not want to live like that. Also if it is for some karmic debt then the purpose was served because she has had to live in this state.
Love and Light to all Trish |

If in doubt, don't you think we should presume in favour of life rather than death? and death by starvation/dehydration takes many days, if not weeks.
What about the pain her mother and father are feeling being forced to watch someone they love, who does respond to them, dying because of two men - the judge and her husband (who has another partner and children now?) Please read all the court papers on the site and then tell me if you think killing Terri is in any way justified. |

| I'm personally not pulling the plug so there for i'm not killing her... the ? is how many other ppl during this whole thing have had there feeding tubes removed or oxygen tube removed? there has got to be more then just hers being removed and you don't see there families making a big deal about it. This is a family issue which should be kept amoungst the family... none of us personally know her she's been in a comma for 15 years...if i were her personally i think it would be horrible to be a vegetable. I'm not a heartless person. I just think its none of our business unless were related. Its a choice that needs to be made amoungst the family... more then likey even if she does live how much more progress is she really going to make? |

That is the bottom line it is not our choice. If I were her though I would pray to God that someone would have let me die and thank God that he has another partner to share his life with. I know that there are Myrters out there but I personally know of no saints in my family or friends.
The videos of this woman are from 2001 everyone of them! If she were conscious and aware still why not show those instead of 3-4 year old videos? From personal experience I have see people in this type of situation have more strokes and other complications that further damage them.
Everyone I know tells me that they would not want to live like this.
It is up to others I have no more to say in her matter but I know that I need to get a living will drawn up soon!
Love to all Trish |

| You can't die. Death and Life are mutually exclusive. A long time ago a great master proved this, being Life's symbol. I would not say this on any other forum. |
