please give me your advice on if you feel this was a out of body experience or just a messed up dream, in it, it was dark, nighttime late at night I was crossing a deserted alley way I was scared in the dream, I come out into a parking lot by this point I am running, I hear a motorcycle I am running and I am turning and see the person on the bike with a gun, I hear the shot, instantly I am looking down on myself lyingon the ground. end of dream. none of the surrounding were familar to me. About 6 mo.s later I went away to school and the surrounding in my dream were there, but no one came on a motorcycle. Whatcha think? Anyone else have anything like this happen to them? hope to here from you:oops:
Merry Meet

I think you had a dream of the future mixed with the stuff in your head. Just about everyone gets prohetic dreams but we almost always mix it with our subconsious imagination. What this does is give you a half truth. future facts intertwined with an active subconsious. It's just the way we work most of the time. The flosting could have been OBE but it was mixed up. You will be Ok that is not going to happen to you.

The fact that 6 months later you saw the surrounding from your dream is interesting. You may have been dreaming on some level of the future. As Treetalker has said, images in your dreams can get scrambled, so you may have seen a motorcycle that day, or watched a movie with one in, then this image gets super-imposed on your landscape premonition.
Personally, although I love my mystical dreams, the all action adventure ones where anything and everything is likely to happen do excite me, nice bit of free entertainment!!! |

dreams are astral, delta=0.1-3Hz. lower you get, deeper you are in.
in 0Hz you are dead! or-out-of body.
so, do-not sleep for a few days, perhaps 3, and then-GO TO ASTRAL! |

Thanks for the insight. I have had several dreams like that where part of the dream came to pass. I feel you are right that the motorcycle guy won't happen I am hundreds of miles from the place my dream took place I do have a recuring dream that I first had when my husband and I were living in a one bedroom efficiency appt. I was pregnant with my first this was 4 - 4 1/2 years ago I keep dreaming of being downstairs and there being a fire and in the dream I am trying to save people (my family) but it is hazy. I have had this dream for going on 5 years now the wierd thing is the surroundings are similar to our home which we moved into 2 -2001about 5 months after the dreams started We have taken all the necessary precautions just in case But it was probably just a dream although it does bother me that I keep having it
Blessed be

during the past ten years ive had about 5 dreams where ive been flying,
they feel so realistic. the first dream i had i was running up a short steep slope and when i got to the top i just started floating up, it was totally suprising, i was above a main road at the hight of the lamp posts, i was scared because i did'nt know how to land and i woke up suddenly.
In the third dream i had, i found myself flying above the houses on the estate i live on, it was real i was realy flying, i could see all the roof tops and roads with a birds eye view, i was in control so i flew straight up into space, it was amazing, calm and peaceful, i could see the earth below and the moon was full, just there floating in space. it was time to go back down again and as i was nearing my house, with a flash i woke up.
the forth dream i had was when i landed for the first time, it was a running landing at the front of a house where my cousins used to live.
And the last dream i had was weird because i was flying around, over the roof tops, i was quite high up in the air then all of a sudden i started going down towards this car park, i was going too fast and i was going to injure or hurt myself on the ruff gravely concrete. i put my feet together and turned sideways so that when i landed i could do some kind of rolling manouver, i was going in for a crash landing, and then, as my feet hit the ground i just bounced and flipped through the air with an acrobatic cartwheel |

I have had a couple out of body experiences during meditation. My experience is that when you have an out of body it is different than a dream. It is more like Lucid Dreaming. It feels less like a dream and more like being awake. In my out of body I was in my bedroom meditating. I lifted out of my body. Then I had a thought to go to the living room-the thought transported me INSTANTLY, it was kind of like I had the thought and then like a rocket I went there, through the wall as lightening speed. Kind of scarry at first. I could touch things and my hands would go through them. When I returned to my body it was very distinct. Not like waking from a dream. I levitated above my body and lowered into it and there was sound and vibration like a star trek kind of experience. It happened in the now and not in the future or past.
This is how I experienced out of body. Hope it helps.
Blessing, Diane |

| I just wanted to comment on the difference between out-of-body and dreams. I get it that when your brain waves are lowered dreams and out-of body experiences occur. I agree that out-of-body is like lucid dreaming and you can do whatever you wish. Its not like a dream where things just pop up and you think its real. But dreams are astral? I always thought that and someone replied to this and said that. Do you other guys agree? Does that mean that when I'm dreaming of flying and its so fun and seems so real that I'm actually out of my body on the astal plane or just my conscious trying to tell me I need to have some fun? Thanks, piscesgirl |

Picesgirl,
I think you are right and you are in the astral plane flying without your body.

I've had several waking dreams of controlled "flying" and they are all similar to the experiences mentioned.
My most vivid was of taking of from Wearyall Hill ouside of glastonbury, and then flying above the Somerset hills and plains.
Recently after some meditation, I had a very lucid experience where I was able to 'visit' and watch a friend in another location.
All very interesting, and most welcome. |

| I have dreams of flying to and I really don't like it! I'm scared of heights and when I take off my stomach flips over and over, If I'm having a dream that I'm walking somewhere I will always start to fly, I'll just start to lift up and then I'm in the sky flying over everything. I've learnt to control it a bit now at first I couldn't bring myself down, but now if my stomach starts flipping out too bad I can bring myself back down! |

Oh i forgot to mention that sometimes wen we dream this type of thing it is you in the dream but it cud also be someone else that you are watching but you see them as you.
If you dream that you have been hurt or something like that an then later in the year happen to be in the location of the dream you had an the dream doesnt come true for you then it may have been another soul showing you wot happened to them |
