Hi, I'm here to get some information for an article I'm writing on walk-ins. I've read Montgomery on walk-ins but it's been a while.
I'm looking for the names of mainstream medical doctors who have witnessed patients reporting a walk-in experience. Preferably from a non-"skeptical", non-debunking point of view, but who are intelligent enough to be able to sit back and say this is what they saw, without making it into this big psychological thing "well, sometimes we all want to be something other than what we are."

Thank you. I went to the Articles section and read his summary on walk-ins. Mostly, this seems like introductory material having to do with the idea of ET souls, based partly in channeled information. The people who wrote the puffs for his book are well-known New Age promoters, alien abduction researchers, and alternative therapists, all of whose work I'm familiar with (particularly Steiger and Sprinkle).
What I'm looking for is objective confirmation by a mainstream allopathic medical doctor who has eyewitnessed a walk-in. Preferably more than one. It has to say something like, "I've had several patients who came out of the anesthesia saying 'I'm not who you think I am' and presented with a completely different identity." That's it. Nothing about aliens, nothing about Ascended Masters, just a truly unbiased, objective report.
Most of them try to sell you on the opposite view, like "these phenomena are a usual symptom of dissociation" or "the brain compensating for trauma and confusion by creating a new personality". I don't want that either. I'm up to here with it. It's neither objective nor scientific. It's a lot of guesswork to cover up the fact that they don't know why certain things happen. It particularly fosters a degrading attitude towards women.
I really want to thank you for pointing me to this author, but I can't use confirmation based in channeled material because it's recursive. That is, it would be like saying "I know this channeled information is correct because this other channeled information confirmed it." I will keep looking! If I find something, I will post it here so that others may know about and use it. |

Okey dokey Bluejay. Good luck with your super narrow mined search for the answer you desire about Walk-ins!
Just to clairfy (but of course not give you absolute scientific hard core 'facts' that you're after) NONE of Scott Mandelker's books about Walk-ins and Wanderers or anything else is channeled. Not one tiny bit. Never has been.
It always amazes my how so many people demand their paranormal, metaphysical and spiritual answers to come from or through left brained, scientific, linear type consciousness only!  That square peg just won't fit into that round hole no matter how badly some may want it. Ya gotta use more of your whole brain to get the real answers about 'realities' etc. |

The article I'm writing has little to do with my own personal belief system. It is for something else and it has to be as impartial as possible. I've covered what is believed about walk-ins, the history, Ruth Montgomery and so forth, and I'm now looking for a quote from a medical doctor, one who is not a narrow-minded bigot.
I refuse to quote any of these patronizing gits who says things like "we would all like to fantasize about being somebody else" or waxes philosophical about the human need for credulity and self-deception. That kind of simplistic pseudo-skepticism has no place in an impartial article. I want a statement by a doctor who simply reports what he's seen.
The source I was given in the prior response doesn't claim he's channeling, but he does refer to channeled sources (the Ra Transmissions) for background on his summaries as to the nature of metaphysical reality and so on. I will keep looking. Thanks for your advice. |
