Since dedicating myself to one path and that is the wiccan path, 6 months ago, I have been without a wand. It is calling me, but from where????? What I would like to know from other witches/wizards, the stories on how their wands found them. I was feeling I would find my wand in the bush but alas I think I will have to go online.

I feel like a surgeon without a scapel and therefore, am not complete and in this sense my spells and rituals etc are only half performed.

Should I wait for the wand to come to me or go out looking?

check out some of the fine wand websites out there and see what calls to you. www.lostwoodarts.com is a good place to start - they are the real deal and take wanding very seriously (or at least that's the impression I got from the email answer when I asked what the special arrangement was for getting a Master Wand). Still, the best wand for you might be the one you make yourself. There's information for that out there, too. Still, though, the tools aren't the be-all and end-all of magick. Do what you feel is best. Someone once asked "What is a warrior without his weapons?" and the other replied "A warrior still." Good luck in your search, and on your path, as well.

wands dont make the practionair, the practionaier makes the wand. in general, it dosnt matter what you pick, itl come to you. its you enchanting the want with your energy anyways. you could make one outta ah tree, and ask the trees spirit to help you. anyways good luck.

Merry Meet Witch without a Wand,

I had your very dilemma until I was able to resolve it. My wand is actually a pussy willow branch that was given to me in church, on Palm Sunday. It was in the Russian Orthodox church, and, Russia being a cold country, they do not have palms-- so they give out pussy willow branches to the parishoners. The pussy willows symbolize the innocence of Jesus and the sacredness of all of nature.
I kept my pussy willow wand and use it all the time in ritual. It still has live pussy willow buds on it. Unlike the ones found in nature, they last all year round (being indoors, I guess).
The point I'm trying to make is, you can't go wrong with things that come from nature. Nothing is more sacred than this beautiful earth God created.

The wand is near, I can feel it calliing. I have been saying for months now that my wand is near our local mountain. Its just me delaying the trip there to retrieve it. Thats not very witchy like not finding the time, but one thing I have learnt alot about recently is that the spirit and magicaly world take their own time and we earthlings must wait our turn, oh and I am a busy mum with a job etc etc.

VEry nice words of wisdom from you. It can take words of a another witchy like person to have faith that it will come and that all is not bad with the world and that we are in this together and forever.

I donÂ´t think a wand is needed. You may use many other objects, even a fork, and your mind will "turn it into a wand", and your energy will transferred anyways Very Happy

oooo i have a wand, i dont use it, but its an Actuall wand, LOl, it actuall contains power that isnt mind, hehe, think spirials people. buuut mabey not, who knows?! no one but me :p

What do you mean you have a wand that spirals people!? xD ...sorry I am a bit confused.. I love wands (IÂ´ve read and watched the Harry Potter Series) and there are some quite handsome ones in[url] www.alivans.com[/url] but I donÂ´t think you guys use these ones! xD Razz

Well If you dont have A wand and feel the need to get it for ritual purposes then your best bet is to wait for the right one. I myself have a wand I found it in our near by woods. A place i go to relaxe one day had somthing there for me. The most powerful wands come calling to you in the wild where you bless them and make them personal to you with your own energies.

I've been a practicing witch for close to 20 years now, and up until a couple of years ago I didn't have a wand either. I now have a wand that is a willow branch I found on the ground under my fairy tree in my back yard. I stripped the bark off it and I use it on occasion. (For the most part, I forget I have it.) My brother brought me a stick (wand) he found on the ground that was all spiraled, like the wand Willow used in the movie Willow. In my opinion, tools are not necessary, however they do serve as great focal points during our magickal journeys and they allow us to feel more empowered as we focus our energies through them. Truly your most magickal tools are your hands, your mind, your voice and your heart.

When the time is right, your wand will come. If you are too busy to go to the mountain, then the time simply isn't right yet. Don't worry, it will come.
