Are there stones that aid with connecting to certain elements? I have a fire coral ring and it works wonders for fire and water.. ^^

Also, I love learning about the specifics with stuff, so exactly how do stones work? What are the best ways to utilize them? If a stone speaks to me, is that a good sign?

Wow you have asked some very simple questions there but to answer properly I would need to write a book!

Stones are affected by the elements, some are made by Fire (volcanic or magma intervention) igneus rocks, others are formed by Water, sedimentary, and then Earth pressure, metamorphic, and then finally Air plays a part in all Smile

How to use them? Carry a tumblestone round, spread them in a layout, hold them in your hand, oh so many ways Smile

A book that I have been reading recently about this subject is
Wisdom of the gemstone guardians by Michael Katz 1997
This book states that to amplify the power of stones they should be fashioned into spheres. Don't know that I agree with all of it (for me anyway) but it is an interesting read.

Although I love all stones, I personally find the energy is better and more powerful in the stones that have not been cut, polished, tumbled, or any of the processes done by man, aside from mining. I can tell a difference from the stones that were mined with care and the ones that were not. I have a huge crystal collection consisting of clusters, natural stones, points, as well as orbs and tumbled stones.

I do work with all of my crystals in some form or fashion to help them heal themselves from any trauma during the mining process, and yes, they do experience trauma if not mined with care. What most people fail to realize is that crystals do have personalities and do experience trauma. What we may see is an awesome crystal point, at one time it was a part of a cluster. That would be akin to us losing a limb and having to learn to deal with it.
