Hi !
...looking forward to my own radionics wishing machine ive stumbled upon these plans:
http://rs494.rapidshare.com/files/418591921/Future_Horizons_-_Wishing_Machine_Plans___2002_____PDF__.rar

Theres a circuit diagram, using the lm 386 (small audio amplifier), but this seems PART OF A KIT (you may still need their printed
circuit board) as not all component values are given, especially the values of the polarized caps are missing.

Checking the parts list: C2 and C6 MUST be the non-plarized ceramic caps..
Which values (33k or 10k) can be given to R1 & R2 and the polarized electrolytic
C1, C3, C4, C5 ??? ( 2x 4.7uF, 1x 22uF, 1x 47uF)

heres a quick link to the schematic:
http://www.pepperpics.biz/i/wishmfjpeg.bmp

The text says:
The general purpose amp uses a 1 transistor preamp and an IC audio amplifier chip (LM386N)
to amplify weak signals. The preamp consists of NPN transistor Q1 (2N3904). Resistors R1 and R2
provide correct biasing and capacitor C3 provides coupling from the base of Q1 to the input signal.
Capacitor C2 is used for filtering and capacitor C1 couples the amplified signal to the gain control
potentiometer P1 - which doesnt show up on the diagram btw (not critically necessary ?!?) - This control
applies only the amount of signal you wish to the input of the IC power amp and serves as a volume
control. The power amp contains many internal transistors and is used to provide a high level amplified
signal to the output through coupling capacitor C5. Capacitor C6 sets the internal gain of IC 1, and
capacitor C4 is used to prevent "motor-boating" or low frequency oscillation.

I just started with electronics, so if theres any experienced technician out here (i think so)
please help to "fill the blanks"..

Thanks,

Xcell
