Hi, as I was out biking one day, a curious thought entered my mind:
Thoughtforms can be deconstructed and absorbed by creator. Because of that, can't someone BESIDES the creator deconstruct the Thoughtform? What would they gain from it?
I know it sounds stupid, but does anyone have an answer to my questions?

Huh... that's interesting. Sounds like it would have a lot of practical applications (along with the potential of being a huge jerk with it (children's imaginary friends count as low-grade Thoughtforms, right?)) in magical situation.
For example, if you accidentally piss off a chaos magi, and he tries hexing you (because, to my knowledge, even sigils are thought constructs, much lower grade then my above example of imaginary friends)), as soon as you know you got hexed, you could deconstruct the spell for free power.
So, I guess what I'm asking now is would the above situations work the same way?
Along with that, I can't help but wonder how to even use this (I am astrally blind) when you don't know where the Thoughtform IS, and if by absorbing one, you would pick up the desire that drove the creation of the Thoughtform.
Maybe I should change the topic name, because I keep coming up with questions on this matter.

I wouldnt call imaginary friends thought forms and if one knew how to break into energy thats all itd be. The hexes you're probably thinking of usually work the targets energy against itself so it can be prevented or undone with ease depending on your abilities vs theirs.

Im not sure if you quite understand chaos magic but here's a few texts that outline some practices and the basis behind it.

Its basically glorified balck magic which anyone can do with enough time, though it won't get you far.

Hey, I understand, the concept of what I designed was more bent towards malicious deeds than good, but magic is only as black as its purpose. Surely, this technique would be very effective in magical defense, under certain circumstances. The same with Chaos Magic itself. If one uses a sigil to help another recover from illness, is that wrong?
Regardless, if this is viable, it is for the wielder to decide how to apply it, not society.

Its not the intent that makes black magic its the source, which is darkness. And I see no technique you mentioned. The light is far more effective for doing any actual good. Black can maybe help one gather energy to aid or grab some for a wordly end but that's it.

The technique is what I started the topic about: taking the concept of deconstructing one's Thoughtforms, and applying it to the Thoughtforms of others, harvesting the energy for oneself. And I believe we are getting off-topic with the whole white magic, black magic thing.

If I understand you correctly you are saying thought forms are pretty much useless. If that is what you are saying I would have to say that you have not created or used them properly. I use them to destroy negative thought forms, voodo and black magic thought forms and incapacitate and remove dark entities and the like. That seems rather valuable to me?
