Um, I recognize the name soul society n all that..its from an anime series called Bleach. I've watched it a couple times, not bad though i doubt its based off anything real..

thats were your wrong. the soul society is real. so are the soul reapers.throught spiritual history you will see them mentioned, there have been some leaks through the ages in our security when it comes to humans.

their mainly scifi works because we try to disprove them and make them seem far fetched as quickly as possible, we typicaly stick to the shadows. in ancient times we were revered for our skills as holy people, but then sum got power hungry and we had to hide in the shadows so as not to be hunted down and killed. we stay in shadows now out of habit and tradition, nothing else.

You said they've been mentioned in works throughout history but science fiction didn't really become a solitary genre 'til about the tenth century. I could see you could also mean fantasy writting as well but this still doesn't seem to make sense as, if what you say is true, there'd be mention in at least one spiritual work or have some following. I feel rather silly researching into this because it seems most of what you've said originates from Bleach, which has no more basis in reality than any other anime or television series.

I've asked some other literary and theological/spiritual experts and looked into it a little myself, and what he mentions is only from the show. There is no base or any reference in any work throughout history of the "Soul Society", unless you count a couple R&B bands. I immediately take back my belief of his actual experiance or knowledge and must assume everything he claims to know is from this anime series or another. While this doesn't mean the religous had the right to call him what he did because we didn't know for certain of his idiocy until now.

Well my friend, you again have failed in your knowledge of the Bible. Jesus has always been just as God has. If you would care to read John 1:1-4 & 14, Hebrews 1:1-4. And if you would care to read Colossians 1:16-17 you would learn that Chirst created all things and by Him all things exist, even the invisible things and powers, like demons. He was in the beginning Genesis 1:26. I am just pointing out that your views are contrary to the teachings of the Bible. You don't have a problem with me, you have a problem with the teachings of the Bible my friend.
