I think that the name demon has come to mean too many things. There is a class of petty, malicious, harmful spirits that have become known as demons. These you can hunt.
The elder powerful spirits you can't. But on the other hand they don't have any desire to mess with peoples lives in the here and now. They will sometimes take part in learning lessons on the astral plane for individuals.
Just because a being is a "lesser" spirit doesn't mean it isn't powerful and can't cause trouble and strife.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. A person who claims they are a Hunter is most likely lying. No one will willingly tell you they are a hunter. Plus, they tend to use better grammar.

That is your opion about demon hunting! I hunt and sometimes you might comes across a spirit or ghost that is not! friendly and if something hits you in back of the head then to me they are a damn demon! you dont have to believe nor do you have to believe in demons but I do! furthermore, do you have any proof there is not any demons. I really didnt thing so!

are you living in Eastern Australia? I had one like this hunt me about 5 years ago. Sometimes it will crawl on all 4 and call itself "The Bane" It did not destroy me as you can more than likely tell though I was subjected too a lengthy psychiatric evaluation after it left. It is harmful so use extreme caution unless u wanna wake up in a pool of blood in your bed like what happened one morning.

Back to the original topic, There are hunters per say just not how you see them. First up we hunt when there is a calling we do not under any circumstance go looking for demons we strike when they strike not before thats just asking for trouble. I wouldn't recommend trying to hunt if you have no experience in the field its not just magick u need you also need wits, a vast knowledge of virtually everything you can imagine and then more, mental stability and the ability to shut off your mind but still think (not as easy as it sounds) and fitness i cant stress that one enough its not all about how much you know.
Websites? Just look around everywhere you can you will have to decipher what u think is true and what is crap.
Tools not alot there can be some that call for extreme measures ie: the last one i just got back from required i take a hand forged Iron Sword otherwise I would've been screwed
the thing i cant stress enough also do not under any cirumstance try to evoke, envoke, tease, tamper with, play games, talk to, distract, conceal or even think heavily bout a demon they may be closer than you think

been lookin everywhere, i need the name for which ever freak is capable of the following:
control of/attacks with natural disasters including but potential not limited to tornados hurricanes and storms
Impersonation or possession of animals
Sensory deception: seeing hearing smelling etc (what isnt there)
inconsistently but occasionally apparates
Dream World Intrusion
Ive been stalked spied on, repeatedly attacked. I have multiple demonic securities set up around my house and so do the other hunters i work with. We have all been followed by rabbits, squirrels, cicadas. Our salt lines arent working, repellents seem to have no affect.
seems to run on ALL elements
Additionally: scrying and divining have given me "AL" or "AK" consistently with every attempt and various methods when asking how it can be identified. Its apparitions all seem to come with blue and red somehow involved. Please get back to me

I was trying to respond to you last night but they wouldn't let me. they kept messing around with computer. Have you tried sigil magic. with chalk writing the words protection but taking all of the vows out and making your own sigil of protection. If that fails let me know and I will send aide. Try to keep calm and collective. The moment you let your fear overrun you they have all they need to come into your body and open you up for possession. You may also want to put on your armor.

Hello I'm new to the site. I was actualy jst browzering for information ad came across this post on demon hunting and thought, "Finally, people that may actually understand what I know." I'm a big fan of the CW show Supernatural, But I came across the supernatural existance 1 years before the show even started, so I'm not a crazy fan that wants to mimic Sam and Dean. Anyways, althoughI now a great amount(well more then normal people that have no clue that is) about the supernatural I'm in need of someone who's been around this alot longer then me(6years for me) to give me a link or 2 to a site thats truthful on what will work for fight on defending myself against the paranormal/supernatural. Like fr example the lore about vampire, common hollywood movies say garlic, crosses, wooden stake, sunlight, and yetI've heard cutting there heads off and other strang things. I just dn't want to end up face to face wth something and have the wrong weapon/defence or something that won't work at all. Any advice?

Um if you need to avoid the police while hunting demons you're doing something very wrong. Don't drink the punch, kids. And stop watching the CW.

I am, as well, Hemlock. It appears that television and movies have glamorized and simplified Demons and Demon hunting.
A note to those of you interested in hunting Demons. My suggestion to all of you, get real! You are foolish and playing with something that you clearly know NOTHING about.
I suspect you are newbies and find the thought of it cool. My suggestion if you want to hunt Demons...I know this will sound strange, but start by working with a local bug exterminator. Yes, pest control person. When they have complaints about hornets, bees and wasps nests, tell them that you want to go with them to remove the nest. They will want to spray it with chemicals, tell them no, that you will remove them.
Walk up to the nest and reach your hands around the nest or hive, but first you must tap on it and shake it.
They will become very angry as you tap on the hive, but don't stop. Your goal is to aggravate them to the point of attack. As they attack you stomp on the nest or hive but not before kicking it slightly with your foot and rolling it around. If it is a small hive, you may get 5 or 10 stings. If it is large, you may get hundreds, POSSIBLY THOUSANDS OF STINGS. Obviously, it will be painful and could possibly cause death due to the number of stings and one's reaction to the venom. If the thought of this scares you then you are on the right track.
Now, after you have done this a few times, 10, maybe 15 times, you should then start reading about Demons. Not the B.S. stuff from TV. but the effect of Demons and what they can do. Don't be fooled.
Yes, there are little demons and there are "BIG" Demons. Most people haven't a clue as to the Demon's ability.
It is NOT something to toy with. Your power or presumed ability is no match.
It is not my intent to offend anyone but you must understand the reality of what is really out there.

Their origins are very speculative and they're by no means all knowing as people make them out to be. And if you've harnessed the light they can be destroyed and are really no threat. Though for most of these so self proclaimed hunters that's an unattainable status.
