My name is Aleksanor, legally, I prefer to be called Alex in the real world, it's easier. I read a three page topic between a member and an anonymous fellow talking about his spiritual gifts, and became .. interested. I was already interested, which is how I ended up at the thread. I tried studying "Magic" and it's alternative names, but I just don't have the drive to proceed with practice day in and day out. Same goes for Psionics, which is a term/name I picked up at another forum. I got interested in the idea from the previously mentioned thread about summoning helpful Demons. I'd really like to do this, of course, safely. Being European, which may be a .. bias, is all I can think of right now, my mom, and more importantly, grandmother, know some "magic", in that they perform "rituals" that really make me, my sister or brother feel bad in odd cases where we feel absolutely horrible. My grandma usually performs these. These include a bowl of water, with pieces of bread dropped inside, as well as lighting matches, chanting, then dropping them in, and lastly, getting us to drink the water several times from different parts of the edges of the bowl. She also chants, does some kissing, some finger moments, for a quick "pick-me-up". Anyways, what I'm getting at is, would this be enough to protect me from a harmful demon? If not, tell me what I could do in such a case, and most importantly, how do I go about summoning a demon to have a polite chat with, without having to go over a $0.25 limit. Thank you, sorry for the long paragraph. I type a lot and read a lot. I love learning, except in school.

Hello Alex, and welcome. I'm not familiar with the ritual, so I can't say with absolute certainty that it will protect you from hostile entities. However, intent is what really matters, so they should work if you believe they will. Unless you already know the name or energy signature of the being you wish to summon, just give up for now. Summoning can be dangerous if you aren't at least somewhat experienced when it comes to working with spirits. I would advise attempting to communicate with any spirits already present in your area first. Everyone who summons has their own unique method, so whether or not it costs money is up to you. I wrote a fairly detailed guide to summoning in the topic you referred to, so you can use that for reference if you wish. Good luck, and I hope you'll enjoy your time here.
