The basic idea, is that each crystal, has an effect on your energy body or field. It does this through subtle influence and in some case, can have dramatic effects on the way you feel.
A crystal property does not need you to believe that anything is going to happen to make it do so, it just does it.
For energy fields of your body, the primary ones are called chakra's.... im sure you have heard of these. These energy centres, are well documented on the net, go have a look about them. They go hand in hand with the effects of a lot of crystals.
Each crystal has a particular set of properties, and for basic effects, for beginners, just look on the net for a match of a crystal ( some go by the same colour with the colour of the chakra) to an problems you may be having, and ASK it to help you. That is the most basic level of crystal healing.

You don't have to know anything about crystals to get hold of some, but its best to ask advice in a crystal shop, as some of them contain heavy metals and are soluble, and its best to do homework on any one of them, as just handling things like malachite (copper ore) gets absorbed through your skin and is toxic, so should be handled sparingly.
Good ones for beginners to get some benefit out of, are master healers such as amethyst, and others such as Chrysoprase: Citrine or Flourite are so on.
Any crystal to affect your energy body, does not have to be localised about any one chakra to be affecting you, it only has to be inside your aura. Aura's extend some way from anyone's body, and you can carry crystals in your pockets to have them about you at all times.
I knew nothing about crystals two years ago, and I got my eyes opened by another crystal healer, who I thought was just mucking about with them, now two years on Im a crystal healer and never have crystals out of my aura...
Crystal's attact you to ones that you need, so go to a crystal shop, spend time talking to the staff in there, and overall, listen to your inner voice giving you advice on the ones to be buying......
If a crystal feels right to you, then GET it..... nothing more to it to choose them...
And if you get a bit more into the practice, get the Crystal Bible for example, and spend time meditating with crystals and you will find that they can talk to you as well... all it takes is time, effort, concentration, and above all... love.... |
