What are the dangers in doing this? Does invocation or evocation disturb the spirits and may possibly result in attack or death?
I'm considering staying away from this kind of Magick until I master banishing and attaining a sufficient level of Gnosis. In other words sticking to safer Magick rather than risking a attack (I suspect I've been attacked before and have dabbled in black magick when I was a teen without any knowledge). I'm only a beginner, so it would be interesting to get some tips from more experienced mages on how to get to a decent level of Gnosis...How do you know you've entered a trance? What are some powerful purification techniques (I'm especially interested in this)...Thanks.

How do I know that I've entered Gnosis? Does anyone know any purification rituals? A response would be appreciated.

On the invocation can be dangerous only inappropriate desire.
Each prayer is invocation.
Evocations are colling upon of the supernatural beings, so if you will colling up an evil being so it will be dangerous. Or, when you will use forcing conjuration like in middle age grimoires, it could be dangerous too.
Try find translantion old Greece and Egyptian magical papyri.
And compare it with middleages grimoires.
In ancient magick texts aren'n magical rings or swords.
Ancient methodes are safer.
