A quick re-design is below. I also adjusted the input and output jacks so that the circuit is not completely reliant on them.

Though Id like to find A battery pack I could use. What do u think about two 9 volts? What is it wire in parallel and it will pump out 18 volts or something?

That looks good to use, its regulated so it wont blow a circuit its attached to.

You can get plugs, which have that built in, either will work. Stick with the regulated power supply, this way you will be able to run your machine for longer and avoid paying out for batteries all the time.

OK, I found a manual for that preamp. http://www.designnotes.com/downloads/K1803_Assembly.pdf

It has a positive and negative input. So will I take two wires off that center post and just run one to positive and the other to negative? Would I do the same for the output as it coils around the crystal? That does not seem right though, as there will current flowing through the whole system, not just the last right half. Right?

And what is your opinion as to this box being used for remote viewing? Would the amp help at all?

And here is and alternate idea. Look at this.

So not only is it a preamp but can generate an FM carrier wave like the Hieronymus Machine. And it has an antenna point of contact. Smile

It can run on a battery or plug-in as well.

Same question though, where am I pulling the pos and neg connections from to start? How would I coil the crystal with out shorting the circuit, if it is in the part of the circuit that requires power? If it was in the antenna part of the FM one you can just coil around it then lead to the antenna.

Could you put + and - on you circuit diagram please, just to show the flow of current.

Iv'e updated the diagram to show the input and output polarity. With the (-) connection on the input and the (-) connection on the output just connect them up to the minus connection on your power supply.

The FM kit looks good, just make sure it is legal to broadcast with it. Also remember that they are all kits and require you to solder the components into place.

OK tell me if this is right. Basically just use a jumper wire to connect the neg's.

We are only trying to amp the positive signal I guess?

So would the same operation work for the FM oscillator?
Jump the negs from mike and power, middle post to positive and antenna run to crystal and antenna and onward.

Or because of it design would I just run from middle post to the positive part of mic input and then antenna out to rest of system? As for the freq range, as long as I don't do it on a reserved part I am good. I am not looking for range, just want to use the carrier signal for a little more boost. the antenna can be short and will probably just be a short length of copper leading to another coiled crystal. Radionics has unlimited range.

I have no experience with the stuff, but I am intrigued to see if it works so pleas let me know. I dont know how accurate the wire glue would be? Think its probably easier to just go out and buy a $30 soldering iron and some silver based flux core solder, practice a little until you get the hang of it.

I will write more later, will have a look at the wiring in detail when I return to the world of the living Smile

Kool, yea let me know if I have it right.

After I have a little exp doing this, I am going to make one with some changes. I am going to put a amp in the back and the FM oscillator in front. I am wanting to make a box to combine some of the tools from Uncle Chuckie's books. Amp in back take the place of the cassette player on the input and the FM oscillator in front to take the place of the radio on the output. Space saver model. Smile

I saw some tube amps while I was looking around at stuff. I so want more space Id love to make a radionic console. I love tubes, the warm inviting glow that says I work.

Don't worry about connecting up the negative connections, just go direct with the positive, the same on the FM transmitter. The exception being the power connections for each board, which should be connected to + and - of your power supply.

Hopefully this diagram gives you some idea of the wiring. Both circuits should only draw about 30mA so fairly inexpensive to run for long periods. A standard 12V DC 200-300mA maximum regulated power supply should do. Or you could go for a lower rating.

Thank you so much that does help a lot. And this keep the power just in the Amp and FM circuit don't it? You have been a great help. I think ill just order a 2.1 or 3.5 mm jack for this adapter I got, 12 volt 350 mA.

I built a 5 dial box last night using your schematics. I now have to rewire it. Sad

I forgot to reverse the the wiring as I looking at it. Glad I did not solder anything.

yeah that just keeps power for the amp and transmitter. If your adaptor comes with a variety of heads sizes then choose which ever one you want, the standard is 2.1. Take note of whether the adaptor is center positive or center negative and wire the jack accordingly.

Is that 2.1 standard UK or US?
