Please forgive this tardy post, but I only just joined the forums and saw the topic.
I hope this post finds you feeling much better than you were when you posted this topic.
Depression is a MEDICAL condition. Along with the good suggestions that are in this thread, work closely with your doctor because there are ways to get your body chemistry back into balance (if that's the source of the problem, which is the issue I deal with).
There are also OTHER medical issues that have depression as one of their symptoms. Your best bet will be to get a complete bloodwork to rule those things out. For example, I've dealt with depression for years, and had worked with my doctor to get everything back under control. And I'd been managing fine for a long time, but then suddenly the symptoms came back along with insomnia and fatigue.
Well, my bloodwork surprised everybody, because it showed severe anemia. Treating THAT (and its underlying cause) was a huge help in clearing up that new bout of depression. I had no reason to expect my bloodwork would come back with an extreme case of anemia, and yet there it was.
So you and your doctor can work together to make sure that everything's as it should be physically. I'm a big believer in how the body, mind, and spirit all impact one another, so one of my ways of ensuring that the body's working right is to head to an expert on the subject, like my doctor.

i would suggest crying before you do any of the above.. Set aside a night and really haul your eyes out, dont hold back..
The tears will help release the chemicals in your body that make you depressed. How else it works, i dont know.. You will find yourself mentally fighting with yourself/God/the universe.. Thats good cos u sending out a message that this is not what you want, that you refuse to carry on like this, and that change is needed.. Ideas will come on how to change, the more desperate you are the quicker..
