hi
I'm lost again I need to know how to reopen my psy channels again. I think that i was born with abilities but a big life event set me back and now I'm totally drained and mistakenly opening myself to anger from others and their stress instead of just their strength and a partner who says she is willing for me to take some of her good energies I find her closed to me does that mean that she is putting up a barrier and she really just isn't ready for the commitment, I don't find anxiety I find like an emptiness...

Hi opium_flower!

First, no need to "take" or borrow energies from any one. And in fact, this can be very unhealthy and damaging. Sharing one's self is plenty. Alice Walker said, "People are meant to be enjoyed." A simple phrase but one that is full of wisdom, IMHO (O:

A helpful awareness can be to know that we are infinite beings existing in a **sea** of infiniteness. And that the quantum Field - as well as everything 'in' it is not made of energy but IS energy. You, a chair, a strawberry, your partner, etc., and any and all ***thoughts*** that you have are a part of this Field (research the Law Of Attraction, esp. as related to the quantum Field).

Your desire is a clue. You have a wish, which means the happy answer already exisits for you. It is simply a matter of you letting in the awarenss of that happy answer to make it a part of your world. There are lots of ways to do this. Including using your Imagination, the fire that brings all things into being - on an individual basis as well as family, group or community scale (or world scale for that matter).

Remember to give Imagination its due - for this is not just an esoteric direction or idea.

Think or imagine what it would be like to have something or an experience that you are hoping for. In any situation, if this were already true, what life affirming, welcomed thing would you be doing? And then go ahead and actually do it anyway. If you have company who would you be with and where? And very important, how would all of that FEEL? Tap into a past similar experience, if needed and immerse yourself in that FEELING. Or just make it it up!

The FEELING is the key, the language the universe literally understands.

Now with all of that said.....in addition, read, take classes, do an apprenticeship or take some workshops. The Berkeley Psychic Insitute on the west coast has a LOT of classes (aka The Church Of Divine Man). Basic classes and also an intensive, longer training. However there are very many of its graduates who live all over the USA who teach privately or who have started their own similar schools for psychic training.

"Hands Of Light" by Barbara Ann Brennan is full of very organized information about psychic training and healing. She is a retired research scientist who used to work for NASA and so has included a lot of rationale for the information she teaches. Lots of great drawings in her book as well. it can be found in books many book stores worldwide. Used book stores too.

The internet is a good resource for online studies, many of them free. Here are a few:

Some of the pages there, such as this one are archives of the SpiritWeb site that was closed by the owner. Lot's of great wisdom was published there so it is nice that some of this info was saved for us.

You will find other good training sites, too, when you search.

My x-tra 2 cents:

Take what works for you and toss out what doesn't. Do consider, though, that if an old way of doing something, anything hasn't worked for you, especially after repeted tries, then someone else may have a more effective way to share. Which means, sometimes, stepping out of our comfort zone to give something new a hardy test drive can be worth it.

Follow your bliss. This is deep. Because your bliss is one way the Universe/Spirit/Prime Source/God....speaks to you. And so by following it you are saying, Yes, bring on more!

Now, how do you know if it is "good" bliss or "not-so-healty-activities-or-wants disguised as bliss? If you feel empowered, go for it. Not to confuse this with an addicitve dependency on somone or something or control over others. Do the teachings or does the teacher contribute to your feelings of capability and your own greatness as a part of this Field or whatever the Allness & Wholeness of Everything is to you? Do you feel stronger (as opposed to weaker or more fearful)? Do you feel, even as you may be appreciating others, more independent? Do you feel more relaxed and confident about the world and your place in it?Do you experience expansion (as opposed to feeling frightened, insecure and/or contracted)? What are you telling the Universe to give you more of?

Just ideas to consider.
